Basic classification of wood suitable for CNC machining

Machining refers to the process of changing the shape or performance of a work-piece through a mechanical device.

Wood suitable for machining:

1. Mandshurica mandshurica: its tree quality is slightly hard, its texture is straight, its structure is thick, its pattern is beautiful, its corrosion resistance and water resistance are good, it is easy to process but not easy to dry, it has great toughness, and it has good bonding, painting and coloring properties;

2. Eucalyptus meranti: Its material is moderate in weight, its texture is straight or oblique and staggered, its structure is slightly thick, easy to process, and its bonding performance is good;

3. Poplar: the wood commonly used in northern my country, its quality is soft, stable, cheap and easy to get;

4. Walnut catalpa: its wood is lustrous, its texture is straight or oblique, its structure is slightly thick, its drying speed is slow, but it is not easy to warp, its wood has good toughness, easy to process, and its cutting surface is smooth;

5. Oak wood: Its wood has a large proportion, hard texture, large shrinkage and high strength. The structure is dense, not easy to be sawed, the cutting surface is smooth, easy to crack, warp and deform, and not easy to dry. Moisture resistance, wear resistance, not easy to glue, good coloring performance;

6. Cinnamomum camphora: Its wood has fragrance, which can prevent corrosion and insects. The material is slightly light, not easy to deform, easy to process, smooth and shiny cut surface, good durability and good bonding performance.
